  • BOUNDARY (Medieval - 1066 AD? to 1539 AD?)

Description

A boundary/slope appears to curve way SE and then S from close to where the stream joins the road on the north side. The slope curves S to join the angle of the modern field boundary and gets less well defined. A pottery scatter is noted along the top. It is interpreted as a medieval town boundary (B1) and passes close to where previous pottery finds have been made (see CAS 02431).
