EVIDENCE FOR A SETTLEMENT, FOUND ON WEST EDGE OF A FIELD, THE CENTRE OF WHICH IS C170M SSE OF CHURCH. FOUND DURING FIELDWALKING, WHICH ALSO DETECTED 2 KILN SITES. ANALYSIS OF THE LATER PERIOD OF KILN USE (LATE C15 - EARLY C16) MAY BE COMPLICATED BY THE PRESENCE OF THIS SETTLEMENT. Concentration in this location = 30+ sherds per survey square (B1)
A field survey carried out by June Stong noted 3 kiln sites, a well, and up to 12 house platforms in this field (B3).
