Description

Evaluation carried out by Oxford Archaeological Unit found remains of a structure thought to be those of an outbuilding depicted on the 1880 1st edition OS map. The structure comprised two courses of roughly hewn limestone blocks with occasional brick fillers. The building was constructed over a layer containing pottery of 18th-19th century date, suggesting that the structure is of Victorian construction (B2).
