Description

Former Franciscan college and boarding school, built 1892-4 by Pugin and Pugin in Gothic style (B1). Roman Catholic college, originally intended for boys proposing to join the Franciscan Order, and in use as a boarding and day school. A church was built in the grounds in 1912, and was the Catholic parish church. The seminary was later used as an annexe to the Secondary School. In 1977 the buildings were bought by Buckingham University and converted into a residential hall for staff and students (B2).
