Description

Continuity with late IA phase, features respecting earlier ditch alignment. Early substantial ditch within area 3. Further ditches. Trackway with gravelled metalling. Substantial pottery assemblages from pits and ditches adjacent to trackway. Single urned cremation provisionally dated to early Roman period. Trackway used as droveway for livestock to higher ground of Chilterns? Large quantity of cattle and sheep bones (B6).
