Description

Gardens remodelling project started in 1829 and continued up to 1886. Includes a fernary and fountain, and mounted flowerbeds encircled by rose arches. The first edition 6" OS map doesn't show much detail, parkland surrounding the house. The AP's don't show much detail either, parkland still seems to be intact but there is no indication of any formal layout (B3).
