Description

Richard Woods designed the garden scheme around 1775, it was only partly finished and was destroyed by 1840. There is parkland with evidence for formal planting on the 1880 first edition 6 inch OS map. Much recent landscaping (Elizabeth Banks Associates, I & J Bannerman, Johnson and Cave Associates) including garden buildings, eye catchers, labyrinth walk, rockwell tunnel and lake (B5).
