Description

4 sherds of pottery from ploughed field near crest of hill adjacent to Scheduled area. 1) handmade burnished rim, fine sandy ware, open circle stamp on neck - early Saxon. Important. 2) Medieval rim with applied strip which is stamped (unusual). 3) Grog tempered sherd late IA/Roman. 4) Flint tempered sherd IA (B9).
