Description

TRINOVANTIAN 1/4 STATER OF CUNOBELINE (20-43 AD). VAN ARSDELL TYPE 2038-3 OBV: CORN EAR; REV: CELTICIZED HORSE, RIGHT. AN ANCIENT FORGERY; WOULD HAVE HAD A SILVER OR GOLD PLATED SURFACE, THOUGH NO TRACE NOW VISIBLE. FOUND BY MR A IRVINE WHILST METAL DETECTING (B1).
