Description

2 SHERDS OF ANGLO-SAXON POTTERY - 1 EARLY SAXON RED-GRITTED SHERD, AND 1 GRASS-TEMPERED SHERD, FOUND DURING ARCHAEOLOGICAL EVALUATION IN 1994. THE GRASS-TEMPERED SHERD APPEARED TO BE REDEPOSITED, WHILST THE EARLY SAXON SHERD WAS FROM A DITCH FILL DATED TO THE EARLY MEDIEVAL PERIOD (B1). (SEE ALSO CASS 00312:04)
