PIT WITH SMOOTH VERTICAL SIDES CUT INTO CHALK, C.60CM DEEP, 1.7M WNW OF CENTRAL DATUM. URN IN SITU, AGAINST W WALL, BUT DECAY OF BASE LED TO COLLAPSE EASTWARDS. URN CONTAINED BURNT BONES OF MALE, NOT MORE THAN 40 YEARS OLD. NO GRAVE GOODS, DESPITE MICROSCOPIC EXAMINATION (URN:06:401)(B1).
