Description

Dimensions - Length 80cm, Width 40cm, Depth 30cm.
Plan Form - LOZENGE SHAPED
PIT LOCATED 2M NE OF CENTRAL DATUM, PICKED OUT OF THE CHALK WITH SLOPING IRREGULAR WALLS. FILL: UNDISTURBED FINE DARK EARTH. AT DEPTH OF 22CM, EVENLY DISTRIBUTED OVER CENTRE OF PIT, WERE BONES OF A VERY SMALL TYPE OF OX. IN CENTRE OF THESE BONES WAS AN ANTLER CHEEK PIECE (03:401). RITUAL DEPOSIT? (B1).
