Description

Grade II. Mid C16 and later set back from lane. Timber framework with colour washed brick nogging on right; colour washed brickwork on left. Old tiled roof. 2 storeys, 3 casements, all with glazing bars except in first floor central and left hand lattice 3 light windows. Cut bracketed doorhoods. First floor band on left and ground floor window with cambered relieving arch (B1).
Watching brief carried out by National Trust in 1996 identified evidence for later changes to the C15 cross-winged hall. See report for detail (B2-3).
