Description

Dimensions - Length 158cm, Width 81cm, Depth 70cm.
Plan Form - RECTANGULAR
RECTANGULAR PIT UNDER CENTRE OF MOUND, CUT INTO CHALK FLOOR & FILLED WITH CLAY MOULD & CHALK RUBBLE. ALMOST VERTICAL SIDES, THOUGH TOP EDGES WIDENED BY LATER DISTURBANCE. ON GRAVE FLOOR, AT S ANGLE WAS FRAGMENT OF JAW, PROBABLY FROM YOUNG WOMAN (POSSIBLY FROM LATER SAXON BURIAL). CONTENTS DISTURBED P-MED (B1).
