Description
CHAPEL OF ST GILES, LONG DESTROYED, ONLY ITS SITE NOW (1847) TRACEABLE. LYSONS SAID IT WAS CHAPEL OF EASE TO STEWKLEY, BUT WAS PROBABLY CHANTRY TO MANOR HOUSE. CHAPEL GRANTED 1553 TO EDWARD COWPER (B1).
TRADITIONAL SITE MARKED BY 3 FIR TREES, 1862. NO BURIAL GROUND (B2).
NGR TO CENTRE OF DMV SITE (B9).
