Description

Grade II. Stables. Mid C19. Main block is of flint and brick with cogged eaves, hipped old tile roof and weathervane. 2 storeys. Irregular openings: stable door and loft door to right of centre; broad opening with boarding and stable door to left; another stable door to right; 2 small 2-light wooden windows to each floor. Ground floor openings have cambered heads. L-plan range to left, part formerly a barn, with timber frame, weatherboard and painted corrugated iron cladding, brick plinth, and slate roofs. Stable doors to yard, central cart entry to road. To right of main block is a 3-bay cartshed with interlocking tile roof. Included for group value (B1).
