CHAPEL OF ST NICHOLAS, GIVEN TO LUFFIELD PRIORY C.1180. DESIGNED AS A CHANTRY FOR FOUNDER (HUGH DE EVERSHAW) & FAMILY AS IT IS NAMED IN POPE NICHOLAS'S TAXATION (1291); PROBABLY ALSO USED BY HAMLET'S INHABITANTS FOR SERVICES. NO TRACE LEFT BY C18; SITE USED FOR COMMON PURPOSES (B2).
