Description
Grade II. Ornamental garden fountain. Circa 1890, by Waldo Story. Bronze and marble. Figure of Venus standing on a terrapin in a shell chariot with 3 cupids, the chariot drawn by horses with webbed wings and hoofs, led by a triton. Illustrated in Country Life 1900 p.424 and 247 (B7).
