Map

Type and Period (1)

  • HOUSE PLATFORM (Medieval - 1066 AD to 1539 AD)

Description

Deserted village includes an irregular pattern of crofts, radiating from a central pond. No steadings were found perhaps due to: 1) use as droves; 2) passage og agricultural machinery; 3) Civil War battery (B7).
Civil War earthwork (CASS 00554) probably built on top of house platforms (B5).
