Description

Dimensions - Length 270m, Width 170m.
Plan Form - Rectangular.
Manorial site. House was surrounded by a dry moat with broad outer bank & traces of outer ditch & 2nd bank beyond. Bank is 2.2m high, 25m wide; internal ditch 17m wide, 1.5m deep. Entrance is in N arm & central area, divided by banks & ditches, shows no trace of Elizabethan manor house (B3-4,B11).
Survey (B12).
Now not thought to be site of Sir Henry Lee's mansion, based on RHCME topographical survey (B18).
