Description

Grade II. Circa 1912. Former generator room. Colourwashed stock brick with machine tiled roof: overhanging eaves with tiled soffit; cement rendered plinth. One storey. 5 sashes; at south end an apse with banded courses of tiles in brickwork and an arch with keystone and broken pediment (B1).
A private generator house designed by Edwin Lutyens as part of the Nashdom house estate buildings (1911-12). The principal interest of the building is in its architectural design and no in-situ plant is thought to remain. Considered to be of national importance (B3).
