Description

Grade II. Statue. Circa 1817, by Bertel Thorvaldsen. Carved marble. Shows nude shepherd bay sitting on a fleece on a tree stump, holding a crook, and with his dog sitting beside him. On splayed stone pedestal with moulded panels, base and cornice. (Catalogue No. 93)(B1).
