GRADE II. STATUE. C18, ITALIAN. CARVED MARBLE. SHOWS PLUTO CARRYING OFF PROSERPINE WHILE CERES CLUTCHES FROM BEHIND AT HER DAUGHTER'S LEGS. A TALL, UPR-IGHT GROUP, PROSERPINE WITH ONE ARM OUTSTRETCHED. STONE PEDESTAL WITH SHAPED PAN-ELS. (CATALOGUE NO. 8 7)(B1).
