Description

Grade II. Four statues. C18-C19 copies of antique pieces. Carved white marble. Female figures copied from: a) Diana of Gabii. b) Ceres (Vatican Museum). c) The Muse Euterpe (National Museum, Stockholm). d) The Muse Polyhymnia (Louvre). All are of less than life size and stand on cylindrical stone pedestals with moulded bases and cornices. (1970 Waddesdon Manor sculpture catalogue Nos. 95-98) (B1).
