MANOR BELONGED TO THE HALF FEE IN ELLESBOROUGH HELD UNDER BARONY OF WOLVERTON. NAME PROBABLY DERIVED FROM 1ST TENANTS, DE SCACCARIO. FROM 1286-1759 HELD BY HAWTREY FAMILY & DESCENDANTS. IN 1759 PASSED INTO HANDS OF THE RUSSELLS (B4).
