Description

Grade II. House. C16, refronted and extended at rear Cl9. Timber framed with brick rear bay. C19 brick front. Old tile roof. Probably former crosswing to earlier house, now rebuilt (No.18 Church End [CASS 10348]). 2 storeys, 3 bays, at right angles to the green. 2 west bays C16, east bay C19 addition. Gabled front with left hand door, 4 pane sashes, one per storey, below cambered arched heads. Painted brick. C16 staircase to north of central bay with oak framed windows with diagonally set square central bar. Ceiling of ground floor with massive joists. Large inglenook of single aspect type. Upstairs curved purlin braces. RCHM 1. 180 MON. 5 (PART) (B1).
