Description

DURING SYSTEMATIC FIELDWALKING FIELD WAS DIVIDED INTO 30M GRIDS (PART ONLY WALKED). SURPRISINGLY FEW FINDS - RB POT FOUND NEARBY (CASS 0080); ALSO NO SIGN OF ROMAN ROAD, BELIEVED TO TRAVERSE SITE. GRAVEL PATCHES NOTED: FIELD DRAINS? FINDS INCLUDE 12 STRUCK FLAKES, 1 MESO(?) BLADE & 12 RB SHERDS (B1).
