Description
BOURNE END STATION OPENED IN 1854, LINE FROM BOURNE END TO HIGH WYCOMBE CLOSED TO THROUGH TRAFFIC IN 1970. LINE FROM BOURNE END FIRST CROSSED A LEVEL CROSSING & THEN FOLLOWED W SIDE OF WYE VALLEY (B1).
LEVEL CROSSING GONE & FORMATION OF LINE LARGELY GONE NE OF BOURNE END STATION (B4).
The station at Bourne End was initially called Marlow Road, being re-named on 1st January 1874, after the opening of the branch line to Marlow, when Bourne End also became the junction for Marlow.
