Description

Dimensions - Height 240 cm, Radius 15m.
Plan Form - Subcircular.
Mound, with circular, shallow surrounding ditch. Mound top 10m diam with central depression. Too small for motte: size, its ramps & local names 'Pale Mill Field', 'Great Mill Field' suggest windmill site. Date ? (see 01); nb 'Miller End' 1481. Mound older than drive to house, c.1536. Found by R Horn. Surveyed (B1).
