Description

EARLIEST DEPOSIT A PERIGLACIAL WATER-BORNE FLINT GRAVEL. NEXT SOIL ON SITE WAS A DARK BROWN/BLACK SOIL, DIVISIBLE INTO 3 HORIZONS, LOWEST PART CONTAINING FLINT DEBRIS, BONE, POTTERY. ALL THIS SEALED BY A PALE CALCAREOUS SOIL, HILLWASH DEPOSIT, THE LATEST ON SITE BEFORE POST-MED FEATURES WERE CUT (B1-2).
