Description
EVALUATION EXCAVATION IN DITCHINGHAM FIELD RECOVERED MORE SAXON POTTERY BUT NO SETTLEMENT EVIDENCE. DITCHES, PITS ETC INDICATED AN EARLY-MID IRON AGE SETTLEMENT: C.230 IA SHERDS FOUND MAINLY IN NE QUARTER OF FIELD. OTHER FINDS INC A RB CU ALLOY APPLIQUE & TRACES OF A HEARTH & C1 AD POTTERY (B2).
