Description
Plan Form - Subrectangular.
Pottery kiln inserted into further end of earlier tile kiln, utilising preceding structure. Central spine. 1 of 8 floor support arches survived as did 1.20m long flue although this had collapsed at the firing end. Chamber incorporated some brick in its structure. Archaeomagnetic dating showed final firing took place within date bracket of cal. AD1460-1510 at 68% confidence level. Kiln products seem to represent a typical range of late medieval/Tudor bowls, jugs, with a very few cups & other forms.
