WELL FULLY EXCAV TO 2.8M DEPTH. ROCK CUT WITH WELL-DRESSED SIDES & BASE. SIDES NARROWED AT 2M DEPTH & WIDENED AGAIN TO BULBOUS BASE. SINGLE FILL OF GREEN-GREY/BROWN CLAY, PERHAPS DELIBERATE. SEVERAL BRILL/BOARSTALL SHERDS NEAR BASE. PROBABLY LAST MEDIEVAL FEATURE TO GO OUT OF USE (B1).
