17,261 ANIMAL BONE FRAGMENTS RECOVERED, BUT ONLY 4,200, FROM WELL-DATED CONTEXTS, WERE EXAMINED. 52% DATED TO MIDDLE BRONZE AGE, 42.9% TO SAXON PERIOD, REST BEING MEDIEVAL. BUTCHERY & SKINNING MARKS VERY RARE (FURTHER DISCUSSION & CATALOGUE)(B1).
