Description

IN DIGGING A RAINWATER DRAIN FOR COTTAGE ROOF, MR.ELBOURN, BRICKLAYER'S LAD, BROKE A SMALL VESSEL FROM WHICH POURED OUT 200 COINS. VESSEL WAS OF BROWN AND WHITE EARTHENWARE, CORKED AT THE TOP. FOUND ABOUT 6 IN.BELOW SURFACE CLOSE TO FRONT WALL OF COTTAGE (B1).
