Description
MANOR HOUSE OF CHEYNE FAMILY ENTIRELY TAKEN DOWN IN 1760. SITE MARKED BY MOATED AREA & AVENUE & ROWS OF TREES NW OF CHURCH (B1).
SITE OF OLD MANOR HOUSE SHOWN ON MS PLAN OF 1844 (B2).
NO TRACES FOUND TO INDICATE SITE OF MANOR HOUSE (B9).
Carved stone window mullions (about 5 sections), possibly of Tudor date, unfrogged bricks (including several vitrified bricks) and a wooden pile (dredged about 5 years ago from edge of inner moat) observed at approx SP9006312030 during site visit (B10).
