Description

POTTERY IN CHARACTERISTIC BRILL-BOARSTALL FABRIC FOUND IN FIELD, CENTRE C170M SSE OF CHURCH. SUBSEQU ENT FIELDWALKING FOUND AT LEAST 6 DISCRETE POTTERY CONCENTRATIONS & LARGE GENERAL SCATTER ALONG S EDGE OF FIELD. FURTHER INFORMATION AWAITED WHEN THIS LARGE AMOUNT OF POTTERY IS PROCESSED. Concentration in this location = 90+ sherds in survey square (1)
A field survey carried out by June Stong noted 3 kiln sites, a well, and up to 12 house platforms in this field (3)
