Description

Brickmaking mentioned in parish register 1657, established by 1725: Richard Bigg takes an apprentice. Kiln at Shredding Green, 1727 & leases Iver Heath site (CASS 05135), 1741 (B1).
Refs to brickmakers, mostly Bigg family, in registers (B2).
Same site as C19/C20 brickworks?, See 01:000.
One cleaver was found in the brickearth (B6).
