Description

Description & illustration of pained frieze between 1st floor & false ceiling of ground floor (B2).
Frieze extends around the room, with a twist or cable border between the frieze and the ceiling. Original ceiling completely painted in black and yellow with a design imitating coffering (B9).
Study & illustration of wall paintings done during house's demolition. Includes painted ceiling to represent a moulded, panelled, Elizabethan ceiling & a Tudor royal arms. Dated to early C16 (B4-5).
