Plan Form - CIRCULAR
DISC WITH VERTICAL SIDES & 8MM LONG STUD PROJECTING FROM FLAT BACK. FRONT HAS FULL FACE IN STRONG RELIEF CHIP-CARVED, WITH EYES, NOSE, MOUTH. HAIR OR HELMET ABOVE EYE. GROOVES INDICATE HAIR. EXACTLY PARALLELED BY ANGLO-SAXON BUTTON BROOCHES, THOUGH A STUD, FOR SINKING INTO A RECESS (PHOTO ETC). FOUND BY A P HOPKINS (B5).
