Description

NO OF GRAVES WITHIN THE EXCAVATED AREA ESTIMATED AT 100 PLUS; DUE TO LATER DISTURBANCE ONLY 18 WERE IDENTIFIABLE. NO COFFINS OR GRAVE GOODS. BEST SURVIVING GROUP; A ROW OF 6 GRAVES ORIENTATED NW/SE, 2 BEING RECUT FOR LATER BURIALS. PART OF MID-SAXON MINSTER CEMETERY? (B1-2). SEE CASS 0257501001.
