Description
Grade II. Farmhouse. Late C16 or early C17. Timber framed with brick or colourwashed rendered infill. Lower part of rear or east elevation rubblestone. South gable cement rendered. West front clad in modern brick and north part of west front rubblestone with brick dressings. Old tile roofs. 4 bays and 2 storeys, the roof of 2 north bays tucked under eaves of south bays. East elevation of 2 south bays has lean-to and to north bay a timber framed one bay, 2 storey rear wing and then, in lean-to, C18 staircase. Casements. West front brick bay has door at left under gabled hood and 2 bays of 4-light casements, 3-light to ground floor right bay. Stone bay has 2-light casements. West door in front of large stack of old thin brick, back-to-back inglenook fireplaces. Massive joists and spine beams (B3).
