BIGGESTROP APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN HAMLET OR FARM IN HADDENHAM, HELD OF BISHOP OF ROCHESTER. 1210 MATHIAS HELD LAND. 1302 GEOFFREY DE BIGGESTROPE WAS TENANT. FREEHOLD FARM CALLED BIGSTRUP FARM FOR SALE BY PUBLIC AUCTION 1797. APPEARS THEN TO BE POSSESSION OF OWNER OF UPTON MANOR, DINTON (B1).
