MANOR HOUSE ALTERED BY LATER OWNERS & AFTERWARDS CALLED WHADDON HALL. IN 1541, WAS 'A FAIR OLD MANSION PLACE OF STONE & BRICK (HAVING) A LARGE HALL, CHAPEL, FAIR PARLOURS, BUTTERIES' &C (B2 - HAS INFO ON ALTERATIONS LATER IN C16). A LEASE OF FEB 1662/3 REFERS TO MANOR HOUSE &C OF WHADDON (B6).
