A late C15 or early C16 timber framed building, with a rebuilt service end nearer the road, to which a large 17th century kitchen wing was added, remodelling the original accommodation. The building had the stacks built in stone and brick before the timber frame was piecemeal encased in stone in the late 16th or 17th century. Probably the original manor house for Akeley (B5).
