Description
Magdalen College Manor developed out of grants of land from the Wolverton Fee originally made to St John's Hospital, Oxford. Manor Farm belongs to Magdalen College [Manorial history](B2).
NGR to 'Manor Farm' (B5).
Trial trenching carried out by Oxford Archaeology in July 2008 in the garden south of the house recorded a probable late medieval or early post-medieval ploughsoil beneath a modern made-ground or landscaping deposit. No earlier evidence was identified. See report for detail (B7).
