SMITHY', 'BRICK KILN' & CO NOS 1885, IN AREA CENTRD AT NGR(BI1). BY 1981, NO SIGN OF THESE INDUSTRIAL STRUCTURES REMAINED. A HOUSE ('LOWER BOYCOTT') HAD BEEN BUILT IN THE CENTRE OF THE SITE & THE BRICKPITS HAD BECOME ORNAMENTAL WATER GARDENS. THE N THIRD OF THE SITE WAS V OVERGROWN(BI3)
