APPEARS ORIGINALLY INCLUDED IN PARISH OF HARTWELL. DOMESDAY BOOK NO DISTINCTION BETWEEN GREAT & LITTLE HAMPDEN - PROBABLY NOT INCLUDING LITTLE HAMPDEN. FIRST MENTIONED SEPARATELY IN GRANT OF 1302-1303. FROM THEN DESCENT FOLLOWED HARTWELL MANOR UNTIL C17 (B1).
