Description
A 2ND MANOR, STOKENCHURCH ALIAS MALLETS OR MALLARD'S COURT MANOR ORIGINATED IN LAND HELD UNDER THE F ITZ ALANS IN C13. IT DERIVED ITS LATER NAME FROM ROBERT MALET, WHO IN 1279 HELD 1 VIRGATE OF LAND IN PARISH. IN 1295 A MESSUAGE & HORSE-MILL ARE NAMED IN HOLDING TO WHICH HIS SON SUCCEEDED (B1).
Negative evaluation trial trenching carried out by TVAS in October 2008 (B5).
