Description

Medmenham Mill included in original grant to Woburn Abbey in Stephen's reign. Ref to a fulling mill in 1326. 1st grant of 1553 to Wm Rice included all mills & in 1595 2 mills on manor lands. Ref to a mill in 1666 (B1).
Mill stood within manor demesne & formerly fulling mill, later corn (B2).
